Weekly ANNOUNCEMENT for May 16-20, 2022

 Good Sunday afternoon Wolverine Parents and Students!

This is Dr. Sanders, your Assistant Principal with important ANNOUNCEMENTS for this week:

We have 12 days left in this academic school year, and as we approach the FINISH LINE; we are expecting students to finish the school year strong by completing and submitting all classwork and homework assignments. Student ATTENDANCE is IMPORTANT, and students MUST arrive by 8:00am.

Students that arrive LATE during the testing week after 8:15am, WILL NOT be able to sit for the End-of-Grade-Test.

SECOND: 4th Quarter Grade Report Cards will be sent home on June 1st, the last day of school.

THIRD: As we prepare for end-of-year student promotions and accountability, we believe that students should progress to the next level of study only after they demonstrate proficiency in their knowledge and application of the current curriculum grade level. Parents, please plan to meet with your student’s teacher to further discuss academic standing and progress.

FOURTH: Parents, we need your SUPPORT and PARTNERSHIP in preparing students for End-of-Grade Testing this week and next with their Test Strategy Packets.

FIFTH: End-of-Grade Testing for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students begin May 18 thru May 25th. All students MUST be PRESENT and accounted for on their grade-level test dates.

SIXTH: Grade-level Field Trips are now scheduled. Only students that return the Field Trip Form with their parents’ signature are able to attend.

SEVENTH: Skating Party Plans are underway for 3rd grade thru 6th-grade students that earn a 3 or better on their End-of-Grade Tests and for kindergarten thru 2nd-grade students that know their grade-level standards. Students that do not pass End-of-Grade Tests or demonstrate the knowledge of grade-level standards and attend summer school and pass, will participate in a special celebration.  

EIGHTH: Kindergarten and 5th-grade Student Graduation Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, June 1st. The Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony will start promptly at 10:00 am. The 5th-grade Graduation Ceremony will start promptly at 12:00 Noon. Graduating Student Pictures will be held on tomorrow – Monday, May 16th at 9:00am and there will be NO picture makeup day.

NINTH: Mark your calendars for our upcoming Summer School Program that will begin on June 15 thru July 28, 2022, more information to come. We look forward to seeing you and your student this week at THE VIEW!

Attention all RCS parentS

Due to the forecast of increment weather on tomorrow, Friday, January 21, 2022, tomorrow will be a Remote Learning Day for all students, teachers, and staff. This notification is also available on local news stations WBTV-3 and WSOC-TV. Students are expected to engage in “Interactive Remote Learning” with their classroom teacher at 9:00am via Google Meets or Zoom per teacher’s instruction, as attendance will be taken and recorded
