Meet Our School Principal

Hello, future Wolverine Families!
Meet Reshall Williams, founder, and Principal of Ridgeview Charter School. Principal Williams has a motto of Integrity, Dedication, and Service, and that’s something to respect! Williams has lived in the Gaston area for over a decade. She previously ran charter schools for eight years in several states. Through conversations with friends and co-workers, she recognized a need for public school alternatives in Gaston County.

I started looking at the reports, the demographics and the performance of the area’s schools and I realized there really is a need for choice here,” said Williams.

She began applying to open Ridgeview Charter School back in 2016 but did not receive approval from the State Board of Education to open until 2018. Opening the school was a dream of Williams and her husband.

This was both of our legacies,” she said.

Principals guide academic success and set the tone for an entire school, and Reshall Williams ha has 20+ years of experience.

Come on and meet us at Ridgeview Charter School located at 207 W.Bradley Street in Gastonia, NC 28052.

About Ridgeview Charter School

The curriculum is based on international studies, focusing on the general education areas of study as well as the arts and physical education. Courses will aim to give students an internationally-influenced education, similar to what one would find at an International Baccalaureate school. Students will also learn foreign languages such as Japanese, French, German and Spanish.

It’s a very highly-regarded curriculum. It brings an international perspective to the students. Within that curriculum, there are opportunities for students and staff to talk with students from other countries. So we will build that branch with our students and staff reaching out to people in other countries.

We are now currently enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year, Join us and become a Wolverine!
